If you are looking for a waterfront home for boating in Lusby there are several creeks available with deep water. Mill Creek is located in Lusby and it even has a Marina. Drum Point and Chesapeake Ranch Estates are located on this creek. St Leonard Creek is a really nice creek for boating as well. I used to take my boat there and anchor out for the night. Western Shores is next to Kenwood Beach in Port Republic. The homes there are newer because it wasn’t developed until the 1960′s. Many homes in the Western Shores neighborhood have the split foyer design compared to the cottage style of Kenwood Beach. There is a community beach for this Port Republic neighborhood.

The Scientists Cliffs neighborhood started in 1935 when the Gravatt’s and their friends who were scientists purchased 752 acres. The vacation homes in Scientists Cliffs are cabin style. Very few come up for sale in this neighborhood. Currently there is a water front cabin for sale at $710,000 and a cabin for $499,000 which is not water front.
