Yesterday I went to an open house for Real Estate Agents at the new 55 Plus community, Active Adult on the Western Shore of Maryland located in the Solomons area called the Harbours. I was impressed by the model homes they have. The community in Solomons is going to be over 200 homes with new construction starting on the first phase of 120 homes.

They would make great vacation homes or retirement homes. The community is in between St John’s Creek and Back Creek. You can rent a slip from Calvert Marina. The plan is to have a swimming pool and beach along with a large club house.

My favorite model was the Clipper because it is cozy the other two models were alot larger. The Clipper was decorated in the sea theme which is my favorite.  I took some photos below.

In April vacation home sales in Calvert County were down from 19 in March to 14 in April.  The luxury waterfront real estate sales in Calvert County were down from 4 in March to o  in April. 

St Mary’s County vacation home sales remained stable from March to April. There was 1 luxury waterfront home in St Marys County that sold in April.   St Mary’s County had double the waterfront sales in April compared to March, but had no sales for waterview and walk to beach type vacation home sales.

The average days on the market for waterfront homes in Calvert County is 222, S Marys County is alot higher at 399.
